Regular Meeting of the

COTTRELLVILLE TOWNSHIP BOARD


Supervisor Thomas H. Raymond called the meeting to order at 7:31 p.m.

Members Present: Supervisor Thomas Raymond, Clerk Violet Pfaff, Treasurer Dian Courtney,

Trustee Beverly Kopec, and Trustee Bernard Pelc.

Agenda approved with the following additions & deletions: Under New Business, Add I)-9) request for overnight campout in Twp Park by Cub Scouts; all items on the Consent Agenda were approved as presented.

Guest speaker Amos Hamilton, Corr-pro Co, spoke regarding Cathodic Protection for Sewage Lift Stations. No one spoke under “Open Session.”

Under Old Business, Approved Resolution R-2010-02 to update Schedule of Fees for ZBA, Site Plan Review, Special Approval Land Use and Re-Zoning Requests to “Review Deposit Filing Fee” of $600.00. New Business: Approve payment to St. Clair County DPW for Water District 2A, $104,812.50 by April 1st, for Bond Series 2008; Approved Payments by St. Clair County out of WD 2A Bond Proceeds: to DiPonio Contracting, the following: Change Order #2 (-$22,512.54); Pay Estimate #8 ($6,812.60) Final Pay; and Approve Payment by St. Clair County DPW out of WD No.3 & No. 4 Bond Proceeds: to DiPonio Contracting, the following: Change Order #2 ($9,315.84); Pay Estimate #5 ($30,784.26); Add’tl Pay Estimate #6 ($30,460.95). Approve Payment by St. Clair County to be paid out of Bond Proceeds for WD2A, to David Lewandowski Invoice #448 ($180.00): and approve payment by St. Clair County to be paid out of Bond Proceeds for WD No. 3 & No.4 to David Lewandowski ($3,132.50). Memo from Assessor Barb Schutt re: 2010 Values for Budget; discussion of Cottrellville Twp joining Marine City Chamber of Commerce; approved purchase of Election banners; bidding for Mowing Grass Contract for Park, Twp Hall, Bike Path & five Sewer Stations; bidding for Maintenance Service Contract for Township Computers; Cub Scout Troop #296 permission for overnight campout in Twp Park Weekend of July 31; some County Road Emergency Fund to be used for repairs to Bruce & Elizabeth Street, and a part of Lozon Road; Supervisor listed all 15 meetings he has been attending. Treasurer Courtney announced that the taxes balanced with St. Clair County. Township Newsletter will be out in April.

Under Supervisor’s FYI, the following was discussed: The Latest Food Pantry, the Town Hall Meeting; the Update on the Board of Review (14 petitions to date), Review of the meetings attended, FEMA, SEMCOG, MDOT , EDA Luncheon; possible instruction on the

use of a defibrillator. Budget Public Hearing set for 1:00 p.m March 23rd, 2010.
