SYNOPSIS OF THE JULY 14TH, 2010

Regular Meeting of the

COTTRELLVILLE TOWNSHIP BOARD


Supervisor Thomas H. Raymond called the meeting to order at 7:31 p.m.

Members Present: Supervisor Thomas Raymond, Clerk Violet Pfaff, Treasurer Dian Courtney,

Trustee Beverly Kopec, and Trustee Bernard Pelc.

Agenda approved with the following additions: Under New Business Add H-7) Purchase of a paper shredder or shredding process. All items on Consent Agenda approved. Open Session began at 7:50 and ended 8:21 p.m.

Old Business: Updated the Board on the bidding of Maintenance Service Contractor for Twp Computer System, reviewed by the committee, the recommendation to Twp Board. Motion to table maintenance contract for computer system – died for lack of support. Approved motion to enter into negotiations with Network Connections as our IT company. Approved the following items: Final Draft for Credit Card policy;

proceed with 5-yr review to update Twp Master Plan by Birchler-Arroyo Associates; all future planning consulting shall be through Birchler-Arroyo Associates; awarding of Twp Park Maintenance Contract to Stefano Casadei being re-hired.

New Business, discussion of TAG program – Flagstar Bank; approved: authorization for Supervisor to sign work order for ditching of swale on east side of Park, to improve drainage along walking path between parking lot and pavilion and connect the swale on south & east side of basketball court to area east of existing truck route entering center of park; approved Work Orders with St Clair County Road Commission totaling $30,914.00. Request to purchase file cabinets for clerk’s office was tabled until Trustee Pelc researches possible used equipment; Twp Board appointed Treasurer Courtney as IT Coordinator; all of River Road water customers were read end of June, will be re-read end of July for water loss comparison through Marine City master meter; Clerk was advised by Supervisor to contact Sensus Meter to set up classes for

computer program; approved ARC for shredding of paper for twp offices for six month trial period.

Supervisor’s Report: Advised the Richfield Management Company agreement and Marine City Area Fire Authority Intergovernmental agreement has been signed, Parks & Recreation are having an open house at Washington for Life Center on Monday, 7-26-2010 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. regarding a recent survey that was sent out, and inquiries of future ideas for our programs. Food Pantry is in need of monetary donations for Wednesday, 7-21-10 Giveaway at Marine City Airport. Adjourned at 10:08 p.m.
