SYNOPSIS OF THE OCTOBER 13TH, 2010
Regular Meeting of the
COTTRELLVILLE TOWNSHIP BOARD
Supervisor Thomas H. Raymond called the meeting to order at 7:31 p.m.
Members Present: Supervisor Thomas Raymond, Clerk Violet Pfaff, Treasurer Dian Courtney,
Trustee Beverly Kopec, Trustee Bernard Pelc.
Agenda approved with the following changes: Under Consent Agenda E-2) change “Clerk’s Report to August 31st, 2010;” remove E-6-b) Under New Business, remove H-10) payment to David Lewandowski; Add New H-10) Changing Agenda packets format; Add H-11) high school co-op student for clerk’s office; H-12) Adopt Resolution 2010-12 changing administration fee from .7128% to .75%; remove H-8a), 8b), & 8c) remove Ordinance
approvals. Approved Consent Agenda with changing Account Payables total to $39,087.71. Open Session began at 7:49 p.m. & ended 8:01 p.m. No Unfinished Business.
Under New Business approved; introduction of guest speaker John Julien of H.J. Umbaugh & Associates regarding Water Rate Study& approval of same; approval of payment to St. Clair County for Debt Retirement Bond for Water Supply System No. XIIA, Series 2009 (for Water Districts No. 3 & 4) interest only $42,312.50; Amendment to Cottrellville Twp Fire & Emergency Reimbursement Ordinance; waiving of $76.58 in penalties for Mark Butros; renting a tent in case of inclement weather on election day by clerk’s office; reminder of
attendance of SEMCOG General Assembly & Fall Workshop for St Clair County Metropolitan Planning Commission for October 28th; approval to change out master water meter for Shangri-La Village Homes.
Supervisor’s Report: Explanation of repairs to Twp Hall well; County did spray for phragmities at intersections of county roads in September; DiPonio started his Punch List; Reminder of next Township sponsored Food Pantry at Marine City Airport on Tuesday, December 7th, 2010, township is looking for Co-Sponsors to help share the costs for the truck with another group; Newsletter articles for submission to Treasurer’s Office by November 2nd. Dates were set for Food Pantry Drives for 2011: March 16th, July 20th, and October 19th, 2011. Twp Officers attended MTA meeting in Frankenmuth, Supervisor questioned Budget entries of record; announcement of Halloween Bon Fire at Twp Park by Twp Parks & Rec Committee, Saturday, 10-23-2010 from 5 to 7 PM. Public Comments began at 9:25 p.m. and ended at 10:11 p.m. Adjourned at 10:17 p.m.
